Daydreamer, Mom, Wife, Sister, Daughter & Sunshine Distributor - Freelance illustrator, Lori McDonough has been doodling ever since she was a little girl and Whimsy Studios is the proof that childhood dreams do come true.
Wife and mom to 3 amazing kids, her studio is in the heart of their bustling home. Motherhood is chaotic, hilarious and magical all at the same time; which provides plenty of inspiration for her art.
Lori's work showcases her love affair with hand lettering and delicious quotes and words that evoke sweet sentimentality and bring a smile to your face. She enjoys painting, drawing, crafting and lettering and loves to explore in multiple mediums on everything from canvas to paper to wood and found objects.
Her colorful studio is Lori's happy place. She teaches crafting classes there, hosts occasional pop up shops, and loves that her family and friends gravitate there, too. It's also a favorite napping spot of the beloved family dogs, Sunny and Abe. Lori is a graduate of Purdue University and resides in Carmel, Indiana.
